Make something people want.

Requests for Startups (RFS) is Y Combinator’s tradition of surfacing bold startup ideas they’re eager to fund. RFS is a curated set of themes and problem spaces where YC believes the next iconic companies will be built. Founders are encouraged to use these as launchpads—validation that YC is ready to back teams tackling these challenges—but applicants are not limited to these ideas. RFS for Summer 2025 is a call to ambitious builders: AI, design, education, healthcare, robotics, and more. The focus is on founders who want to disrupt slow incumbents, leverage new technology, and reimagine industries from first principles.

Funding Amount:

$500,000 per company, on standard terms.

Key Dates:

• Applications are open for the Fall 2025 (F2025) batch. • The program runs for 3 months, in-person in San Francisco, starting with a 3-day retreat and weekly meetups.
